How TECOBI increased lead quality

TECOBI provides communication and advertising solutions to the automotive industry. The company wanted to discover more qualified leads and increase how many people buy a new vehicle at their clients' dealerships.

Solution

In its regular strategy, the TECOBI team optimised its campaigns to increase the volume of leads. For this new campaign, the team decided to run an A/B test. In this A/B test, they optimised cell one for lead volume, and optimised cell two for higher quality leads by integrating the Conversions API with their CRM system. All other factors, including ad format, creative, messaging and targeting, were the same in both cells.


The team ran a video carousel ad. The ad included a Get offer action button. The team delivered the ads in Facebook Feed to people in the US aged 18 and over, as well as to a Custom Audience of people based on their proximity to the Medved car dealerships.

Lead volume optimisation

When someone clicks the action button, they're prompted to complete a contact form. This contact form includes prefilled information from their Facebook profile, and includes their name and phone number. Next, the TECOBI proprietary software automatically sends them a text message, and a Medved representative follows up with a phone call.


Results

The team determined its lead ad campaign results using A/B testing in Ads Manager and its offline CRM data. By optimising for conversion leads and integrating its CRM system with the Conversions API, the team achieved:

  • 68% higher conversion rate than optimising for lead volume.

  • 8% lower cost per qualified lead.
